Prayers Needed for Dave

Our friend Dave has just been diagnosed with
Stage 4 squamous cell lung cancer
in addition there are a couple of small tumors in his brain
associated with this lung cancer.

There is no cure but the doctors hope to keep it
in check with chemo, radiation and possibly surgery.

If you could spare a few minutes I know he and his family
would appreciate your prayers.
Being Catholic, I found this on line at EWTN,
or perhaps
just a few words asking for his healing.

Thank you.

Prayer to St Peregrine

O great St. Peregrine, you have been called "The Mighty," "The Wonder-Worker," because of the numerous miracles which you have obtained from God for those who have had recourse to you.

For so many years you bore in your own flesh this cancerous disease that destroys the very fibre of our being, and who had recourse to the source of all grace when the power of man could do no more. You were favoured with the vision of Jesus coming down from His Cross to heal your affliction. Ask of God and Our Lady, the cure of the sick whom we entrust to you.

(You would pause here and silently recall the name of the sick for whom you are praying-  Dave plus others that you may also know that need prayers.)

Aided in this way by your powerful intercession, we shall sing to God, now and for all eternity, a song of gratitude for His great goodness and mercy.
Amen.

I have prayed for him, but I could use a few prayers myself. Tumors on my chest, can't breath well, no energy etc. Can't get in to see my doctor at the VA until December 5th. It's easier getting into heaven than a VA clinic.

I didn't know! Do you have an initial diagnosis? Waiting until Dec is way too long for this. Have you tried speaking with St Vincent De Paul? They may have some resources or Drs/clinics that could get you in early for at least some initial testing. Catholic Charities too. Neither require that you are Catholic. http://www.ccsil.org/charities/charities.asp

I think these are the links to your area.

There are NO saints today. We are one with the Lord Jesus through His death, burial and resurrection. We speak directly to the Father.
