Hard Drive Issues

My husband turned to me and said
The Hard Drive is Failing!

We have moved documents and photos to an external
drive and will see how long this laptop lives.
In the meantime, it's been VERY SLOW to do
anything so we knew something was up,
it is almost not worth trying to upload or read Facebook/Blogs.

I'll try posting this weekend as long as we are up an running.
And the power doesn't go out from a storm system that
is heading our way.  We've been pretty lucky this year,
not much in snow or ice but I still complain about it
when we do have it.

See you all this weekend.
Maybe.

Stay warm.

I'm glad you have your things on an external drive. This reminds me that I need to take more off of mine too.
Stay warm ..

We don't know what a big part of our lives computers are until we don't have them to use. Hope your troubles resolve. - Margy

Hope you make out ok with the weather. Hard drives don't fail much anymore, is that an older piece of equipment?

sorry to hear about the pc problems...
I go through that with mine over and over again...
removing files helps...but sometimes, it's just better to get another one and start from scratch... but gosh! that's not easy either is it?
Hope to see you around...
just think of all the stuff you'll get done, not having a computer to sit down to, and goof off!
;)

Have you used a program called Malwarebytes? It is a free downlaod... it sounds more like you have a virus issue we run a computer shop in Oxford, NC... we see stuff like this all the time.... also CCleaner is another one...free also... Good luck!

I had the same problem around Christmas. It was so bad I went and bought a new computer. Then a friend said I should just try deleting some big memory items off the old computer. So I backed it up and deleted half the computer. Now it's running great, faster than ever! It had reached memory capacity. Now I wish I had never bought the new one. They reach it a bit earlier than they claim is full. You might want to try that.
