Todd Looks for a Girlfriend

Meet Todd.
He was crossing our driveway this morning
looking like he was searching for a girlfriend.

And he found one!
Oops, wrong species.
Taylor was willing but Todd had his doubts
that the relationship would work.

So although rejected, Taylor cared enough to set him free.
Onward Todd goes to complete his search,
or eat some worms
or maybe an insect or two.
Definitely not my garden!!

Happy Hunting Todd.
Love it.
cute pics and it is fun for me and my grandkids to make up stories about the wild life too.

When I was in elementary school, I had a desert tortoise as a pet. I called her (him?) Pansy because she like to stop along the way from the back yard to the side yard to nibble the pansies in the flower bed. One day she disappeared from the side yard. Someone else must have wanted a pet tortoise and she wasn't fast enough to run away. That was a sad day for a little kid. - Margy
