Oh, we've got trouble.
We're in terrible, terrible trouble. That game with the fifteen numbered balls is a devil's tool!Oh yes we got trouble, trouble, trouble! With a "T"! Gotta rhyme it with "P"!And that stands for Pool!!!
Oh yeah, we got trouble, trouble right in in Robertsville.
My husband decided to shovel out the basement, literally.
He uncovered his pool table and nothing has been the same.
From the three green lights to the LPs
rockin' the place out.
Do you all remember albums? He's always kept them in pristine shape.
I don't touch them! I used to have the ones you could stack 5-6 at a time!
His arm doesn't even auto return.
Something about choosing between convenience and great sound.
All it was missing was hazy smoke and the scent of beer.
Ooops. No, nothing missing.
He actually allowed his brother and sister in law to smoke in the basement!
Using an ashtray from the 60s no less.
Of course they don't overdo it, they even stepped outside a bit.
And now that the hams are hanging, there is plenty of room for soda and beer.
Wow, like I said.
We got trouble.
Not to mention, although you know I will . . .
He decided to teach little Taylor to play.
Little 7 (8 years old this week) Taylor.
He showed her the pool cue.
He showed her how to line it up.
And she sunk the ball, perfectly.
What!?????
Oh yeah, Pops. I shoot pool every other Friday night at the Eagle's Hall !!!
She plays with her other grandparents before the tournaments begin.
Geez, next thing you know, she'll know how to put a perfect head on a mug of beer!
Excuse the fancy dancy drywall mud speckled decor.
But we're even complete with darts.
Funny, they are right over the exercise equipment.
You better keep bench pressing, heads up will be a bad thing!
I think we could use some paint in the future now that we'll be spending
more time down here getting fit and shooting pool.
He even fired up his old Michelob sign.
Pretty cool.
But back to pool.
He's down there a lot, practicing.
Me, not so much. I make a few shots but don't count on me
if the 8 ball is in jeopardy!
I'm glad no one is seriously competitive.
What counts is that it's family and friends together.
Entertainment, cheap and fun!

Ah, life in River City! I was never very good, but I always enjoyed it.
I love that song and your pool room sounds like a lot of fun!
Looks like he has his own MAN CAVE!
Lisa
He does. There is a table being built out of an old door for his ham radio area and if he works on building models. I have my own up in the bonus room above our garage that I use for quilting.
Looks like a fun place to spend a rainy afternoon! :)
How cool! Looks like a lot of good times will be had in there :)
