Happy Birthday- to US!! The Birthday Chicks

 Happy Birthday little one,
we're a couple of birthday chicks today!

Today I awoke to peep, peep, peep and a broken egg shell.
I opened the incubator and this is what I found!
What fun that it was born on my birthday,
we can celebrate together.

It can hear the other chicks and tries to peep back.
This will be perfect for my little cross beaked chick.
He doesn't seem to be getting any bigger but the others
are ready to go out to the coop, now he'll have
a little  buddy to keep him company.

I don't know if more will hatch.  We had another
power outage just like the last time.  We noticed
it may have delayed hatch time a little so we'll
give it a few more days.

I hope the rest of the day holds as many wonderful surprises.

Happy Birthday! Today is my mothers birthday as well. I hope the other little chicks hatch out soon, I would hate for this little one to be alone...other than your older chick with beak issues.

I discovered your blog through the Down Home Blog Hop. Hope you get a chance to stop by my blog too.

Hi Holly- nice to meet you. I am a new follower.

Everyone-
Chick #5 was born earl today (Thurs)
The poor cross beaked blind chick is having eating problems that is resulting in my hand feeding- he can't see his bowl of food and doesn't understand how to scoop it.

Our older chick passed away, not a hen but a chick, not sure why because there is no evidence of anything wrong.

Oh, how sad. You are not having much luck with these chicks right now :-/ I'm so sorry.
