Another Pinky Scrappy Mat

A Scrappy Mat
It even comes with directions-
Place object HERE --><--
I had fun with this one, placing the lines next to the quarter square triangles.
Then I had this green spotty strip that I thought might look interesting with the other colors.

I'm backing it with a variegated orange,

I'm not sure what to do with the quilting,
at least I can play around with it on my machine since it's small.
I'd like to do something that would keep the direction going in the pattern
but I don't have a machine that will allow me to completely
free motion quilt.  And I'm not experienced at all in the quilting part.

Suggestions are welcomed!!

Practice on scrap fabric. You can also use a transfer pencil and transfer the pattern to the quilt. Then just slowly follow the pattern .

Echo quilt, maybe?

The best advise I got when doing free motion quilting is to picture the design on the fabric and then quilt. Good luck.

Love it! Straight line quilting would be good for this one. In my humble opinion.

Little quilts are just perfect for practicing. Does your machine do decorative switches? Your mug rug would look great. All dressed up.

This is really neat, I think echo quilting would look good too!

I have a practice quilt piece upstairs and will see what I can do! I have been looking at the stencils, some are chalk and some use pencils. I'd like to try them. Thank you for visiting.

I looked this up- I'm learning so much terminology- and it looks like it would work!

I have an old Pfaff 1475 CD so it's not computerized really, it follows set patterns but there are a lot of them. I could give it some practice. Thank you.
