I love the beaches, hate the ride to them.
Watch the water, the brown spots are really gravel.
Yes, we're that shallow.
There are lots of things in the water
and it can change daily.
Logs and rocks, all part of running the river.
Our rivers are not deep in most parts.
Some areas have only inches of water, maybe 2 or 4.
Most use jets on their boats, not props.
You have to get up on plane to get through them
so you have to go really fast.
I won't drive the boat.
By the way,
Who uses a paddle boat in the river? Crazy.

I can see why you don't like the ride. I wouldn't like it either. Doesn't seem big enough to go that fast.
I'm guessing you made it in one piece though.
Have a wonderful Friday and a great weekend! :o)
It's probably not as bad as it feels to me! You might hit a log or low water but there doesn't seem to be any problems with boating accidents unless it's the inexperienced boaters/canoe renters. The outfitters don't prepare them, just hand them a boat and leave. The fire dept told us of one group they had to rescue because they didn't understand how long the float trip they chose took and got stranded after dark without supplies. Or the ones that can't swim and won't wear life jackets. They will float if they relax but they panic, or perhaps they were drinking (or whatnot).
Fun ride...from HERE!! I can see why you don't like it!
