Taylor is 7 now, that's the right age to learn to drive- right? Her mom didn't think so, but Pop's was quite certain. She's a self proclaimed "country girl" afterall!
She has driven the four wheeler before. Well, let me say she has steered it, sitting with one of us, going slowly. This was her first attempt to drive something on her own.
She had her dry run with Pops but wanted me to watch her. As Pops went inside to get me he glanced back when she wasn't looking. There she was, sitting on the tractor in all her glory letting out a big WOO HOO!

OH MY GOSH! I have a six year old who would be oh so jealous if she saw this post...her gramps has one of these and she has never been permitted to do more than sit on it, parked, in the garage...Thank you so much for your kind kind kind words at Campbell Lawson! I see a little girl that I hope wins a set of books from Jenny!!!
Before you know it - Mom - can I borrow the car keys? Looks like our John Deere - such a workhorse! My DH just changed over to the snowblower attachment...yuck!
Have a good weekend and enjoy those moments of new found independence...
My husband said Taylor has a really cool Pops (he's talking about himself LOL!)
That John Deere is really something. It surprised me because it looks like a common lawn tractor until you realize it's really a tractor. It's really come in handy.
Cool--wish we had one of those when I was a kid. It strikes me that a riding mower might actually be a good way for a kid to start learning a bit about driving.
Yes, and maybe she can practice on the grass! LOL
I love how she has to sit way up on the front of the seat to reach the pedals! :)
She looks like she is having fun. Kathy I just wanted to remind everyone that the Christmas Mystery Box give away ends on the 26th. I have posted all the clues. I will need all the gift answers on the 26th or before. Thanks and good luck.
She looks like a natural! That's great. :)
