Sharing a brief update-
While I have been away my husband kept busy with
the ripening tomatoes. He added another 24 jars of sauce.
We picked peppers from the square foot garden.
This bag was completely filled and there are still more on the vine!
Mostly hot but some are not.
The destruction to my squash plants is horrendous.
Without me removing eggs every day for over a week,
they matured and took over. Huge adults are marching across the
vines, killing most of them. I salvaged only two squash.
The tomatoes continue to come in as well as the tomatillos.
I'll be posting on and off.
Thank you for your patience and concerns.
I am fine but to protect the privacy of others, I
can't provide additional details.

Those peppers look great. Many a fine salad could be made out of those.
The details aren't important, as long as you are alright.
It all looks great. We are doing our share of canning over here as well. Don't you just love the sound of the lids ploinking as they cool:)
You've really gotten a huge amount of canned food from your garden. I don't have a pressure canner so I stick to jam and canned fruits like our local blackberries. - Margy
A good job with the canning, he should get a star for that project!
Sorry, squash bug eggs
I have to blog about my mother's tomato canning. We had about a 140 jars the other week and she's been canning tomatoes from her garden since then as well. Welcome back.
