Has anyone ever used Connecting Threads.com? I received a catalog and the fabric is pretty and prices are good. Any comments are helpful-

Tell me if you DO NOT want them published.

I haven't used them BUT think about your local quilt shop and what would happen to them if we all start buying online. I know my quilt shop owner has mentioned a few times that she is struggling because of online fabric sales. ON THE OTHER HAND, it sometimes is much, much less expensive to buy online!

Oh, don't worry, I'm on a first name basis w/my local quilt shop (LOL). I'm there a few times each month and we might chat for an hour if she's not busy! She has monthly coupons and e-mails with dated specials. It helps that I pass it on my way home! However, sometimes there is a line that she doesn't carry such as Moda, in fact none of our local ones do. I have to drive over an hour away to find a Moda charm pack. I found out it's because you really have to commit to an entire collection which changes frequently. People have a hard time finding the material later unless the shop buys a lot of each kind in the collection, and the different fabrics within the collection are numerous. They don't have the funds or demand to do it like the giant fabric stores do. Also, cash flow is limited so they have to choose what they believe will sell and not deviate too much. So, once in awhile I'd like something different, perhaps a novelty print that my shop just can't carry due to lack of demand. This site one has a cute bee hive pattern that would look great for a border or maybe some pot holders.
